Grooming Tips |
The ears of the Bloodhound
need special cleaning
attention; some tend to
collect more dirt and wax
than others and which needs
to be cleaned prior to the
bath.
Facial whiskers are usually
clipped, but you should
first check with the owner.
Use scissors.
Be especially careful to dry
the folds of the skin on the
Bloodhound. Use your hands
during the blow-drying
process to open the folded
skin and dry with a moderate
heat. Once the dog is dry, a
light amount of grooming
powder, even Baby Powder,
applied to the skin within
the folds only can help keep
the area dry and free from
damp skin irritation. Ask
grooming suppliers for
recommended products.
Soften sore or overly dry
elbows, hocks and pasterns
with a light moisturizing
cream. |
